In my PhD studies I have been working with something called Reference Attribute Grammars. They are a formalism used for building compilers. My most recent research in this field was about parallelizing attribute computations. It was a very fun and challenging project, and we got very exciting results. I also worked on using these concurrent attributes to parallelize an existing compiler, called ExtendJ.
I presented our research on concurrent attributes at the SLE 2017 conference. The talk was recorded and is now available on YouTube if you are interested:
I am currently focusing on my PhD work and don’t have time for other projects like Chunky, unfortunately. I will try to do some maintenance on Chunky during Christmas.
